Earthrise is inspired by the stunning 'one off' photograph taken by NASA astronaut Michael Collins.
This 21 minute special piece of sound work bridges 50 years of sound as features actual on board NASA recordings of the astronauts, during their mission to the Moon in 1969, blended with newly created sounds 50 years later. The result gives the listener a sense of drifting through space at what was an historic moment for all mankind. I'd like to dedicate this work to Michael Collins and to all whom made the Apollo 11 Moon Landing possible.
